The built-in Power Factor Calibration Circuit (PFC) allows the 61600 series to output higher efficiency and higher power. The power factor of the input can reach above 0.98 at full load.The 61600 series of advanced DSP technology measures RMS voltage, RMS current, actual power, power factor, and current wave height accurately and quickly. State-of-the-art PWM technology can deliver up to 4 to 6 times peak current to maximum rated current. The unit amplifies the analog signal of any signal generator by providing an external analog input.For high-power applications, the 61600 series provides a (master-slave) parallel operation that allows users to connect AC sources in parallel to amplify AC power output (up to 90 kVA). Full protection and self-diagnosis routines for OPP, OCP, OVP and OTP ensure quality and reliability for even the most demanding engineering and ATE applications. Comprehensive Measurement The Chroma AC Power 61600 series has a built-in 16-bit measurement circuit and firmware utility to measure actual RMS voltage, current, actual power, surface power, reactive power, power factor, current crest rate, recurring peak current and rush current. Using advanced DSP technology, the 61600 series can measure THD and numerous current harmonics. The LCD panel can also display voltage and current measurement waveforms through the waveform viewer function. Set programmable slur rate for voltage and frequency The 61600 series allows you to set voltage and frequency slur rates. The program follows the slur rate used to reach the final setting when the output voltage or frequency changes. This feature allows you to verify the operating range of the input power. For example, instead of converting frequencies from 47 Hz to 63 Hz or measuring them step by step, such as 90V, 115V, 230V, and 264V, you can gradually sweep the voltage from 90V to 264V. In addition, to reduce the rush current at the start of the motor or while the UUT is on, the user can minimize the peak current requirement by lowering the slew rate setting. Single-phase or three-phase outputs 61607/61608/61609 and 61611/61612 AC sources can provide single or three-phase outputs, depending on the application. Users can easily select these output modes with the front panel or remote control. All models can provide full power output even in a single phase output configuration without reducing the rating.The 61601/61602/61603/61604/61605 AC source provides a 3-PHASE (three-phase) mode to allow users to connect three units to three-phase output applications. The master device turns on Fixed Mode and sends a signal to synchronize the slave device. Master/slave parallel output capabilityChroma 61600 series programmable AC sources can provide more power using the (master/slave) parallel output capability. While the 61601/61602/61603/61604/61605 model does not offer this feature, the 61607/61608/61609 model can connect up to two units in the same model series (61507/61508/61509/61607/61609/61609) in parallel. Example: If you connect two units of 616096kVA, you have a total of 12kVA, and if you connect one unit of 615096kVA to one unit of 616073kVA, you have a total of 9kVA.The 61611/61612 model can have up to five AC sources in the same model series (61511/61512/61611/61612) together or parallel to the Chroma 18kVA power stage unit (A615103) for higher power output. Example: Connecting 2 units of 61611 12kVA achieves a total output power of 24kVA, and connecting 1 unit of 61612 18kVA with 2 units of A615103 18kVA achieves a total output power of 54kVA. Soft Panel The Chroma's soft panel provides remote unit control with a graphical user interface, providing exceptional functionality and convenience. The 61500 series soft panel is designed to provide AC source control by applying a user-friendly interface consisting of tools such as settings and graphics.The interface also provides an auto-execution feature that sets the voltage/frequency change to 100 for multi-loop testing (time scale in seconds). You can also adjust settings such as iterations and counts for repeated long-term testing.Another useful feature is report generation, which automatically records the parameters, sampling rate, and recording time selected by the user.<br><br><br><br><br><br>
